“I wish I was among the righteous.”
“I wish I could become closer to Allah.”
“I wish I could reach the level of those who are steadfast and beloved to Him.”
Beautiful words… but tell me, what have you actually done to reach there?
You have not struggled against yourself. You have not sincerely tried to change. You remain in the same place while hoping your condition changes on its own.
How do you expect to attain Firdaus?
How do you hope to become among the closest servants to Allah while you have not even started walking toward Him?
If you wanted to climb onto a roof, could you reach it without a ladder?
Of course not.
Then how do you expect closeness to Allah without climbing the ladder of salah, Qur’an, repentance, patience, seeking knowledge, and striving against your nafs?
Tell me honestly:
How long will you continue fooling yourself with wishes while doing nothing to change?
